Stereotypical teens are playing video games, spending countless hours on social media, and hanging out with their friends. This is not the case for 14-year-old, Christopher K. Gransberry Jr., aka Little Chris.
Little Chris, a teen author, and WeINSPIRE’s youngest ambassador is a native New Orleanian - ‘Who Dat!’ currently residing in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Last week, WeINSPIRE caught up with Little Chris and learned about his upcoming book “It Was All A Dream.” The main character, a lonely boy who is scared of the dark, overcomes his fears by recalling lessons his father taught him. This extraordinary book emphasizes the importance of family, the power of imagination, and the sheer magnitude of overcoming adversity by staying positive. We asked Little Chris where he got the inspiration for his book: “ I have many mentors in my life. I’ve gained positivity from my father, mother, and four brothers. In addition, my family has played a major role in my success. I am striving to empower others and make this world a better place.”
During our interview, Little Chris shared his mantra in life is, “To keep your mind positive”, which is reflected within the pages of “It Was All A Dream”. Little Chris’ father has played a major role in modeling how one lives a positive life. With such influence and his abilities to process the world around him in a creative way, it’s no wonder Little Chris, at such a young age, has delivered this brilliant book. Read it, and imagine what we’ll see in the future from him. , especially as he serves as an advocate for literacy.
